People are feuding over territory. People fight because they look different. People living on the same territory and indistinguishable from the outside are at odds even because of different views (this is especially evident in religious matters). But this is a clear manifestation of savagery.

Humanity has significantly weakened the influence of natural selection on its species. More and more obviously harmful mutations are accumulating. And although the biological safety margin will last for thousands of years, there will simply be even more sick people. But gene editing technologies are needed not only to fix obvious problems, but also for the exploration of space and other planets and moons of the solar system, and then other star systems. But how can we preserve civilization and become a space-faring species if, due to our savagery, we cannot solve basic problems on our small, albeit cozy, planet.

The solution is actually easy to formulate, but very difficult to implement (although it may be simple, but more on that in another post). All that is needed is for various majorities to discard their wild opinions about their own correctness and naturalness. And minorities need to reject the aggressive imposition of their exclusivity, which is natural in the wild natural environment, but in a developed, civilized society is also a sign of savagery. Mutual understanding and respect are needed.

We are still a very homogeneous biological species. What will happen when humans with cybernetic implants appear? What if modified species were created that could adapt to the weightlessness or low gravity of moons and asteroids? Given the current savagery, this will only lead to wars. Therefore, we must cast aside this savagery and demonstrate that we have reason. After all, it’s not for nothing that our species is called Homo sapiens. We need to learn to live in peace and understanding. And then, when new species emerge, each species will take its place in the common, united humanity.

Humanity must unite, but will to unite?
