Benjamin Franklin once said:
“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”
And today this is true not only in relation to Russia, but also to the whole world. Today, the lack of democracy and justice is a global problem. The common people have less and less influence over their government. Russia, because of its backwardness, was the first to fall into this trap.
As for the current stage of the war, Russia has few forces. Now everything depends on the determination of the Ukrainians.
